An awesome team weekend

Its Monday and I'm recovering from the team weekend. Its all a bit strange now I've finished working. Bev and I have to attend all the graduations this week but thankfully Owen is doing a couple for me today.

Today I have produced a list of things for me to do. Its a big list. Everything from sorting out Dare Daves and Sponsor A Section, to finances and music, its all in there. At the same time its nothing compared to the million things Dave has to do. I want to help more but know I cant - something just have to be done by him. I think its helping having Bev and I here - we can keep support him through food, cleaning and other means.

The team weekend was great. We played crazy golf and ran a bbq and stall down at mumbles boat race. We sold some merchandise and raised the Swansea profile. It wasn't the same with out Si though. I missed him. Dim asked me on Camera how it felt to be the only original member of the team. I hadn't thought of it like that in a while. I'd watched every member of the team be accepted. And in honest truth, I couldn't be going to Oz with a better group of people.

realization really kicked in for me this weekend too. For the first time in a longtime I reflected on the time since last October when I initially applied. By Saturday night i felt emotionally drained, I felt a lot of mixed emotions.

I thought about when Rae, Phil and I were the first members of the BoardFree team.
When Si was excepted on, and then Dan too.
When Rae and Phil left.
When Dave and I argued for weeks
When we made up and when I realized how stupid I'd been.
When Holly first bounded up to us Hyde Park.
When BoardFree UK began, and all the emotions that went through that trip.
When Dave made it to Lands End, and how proud we all were.
When at times I was confident about raising the £3000, and how reality has kicked me time and time again since.
When I hit my highs and hit my lows.
When Bev and Kate joined the team.
When Dimitri and Pete as badger boy productions found us, and filmed us.

Its been arollercoasterr. And its only just starting.I'mm excited about it now. My £3000 still needs some help. And there is so much preparation to do, but BFOZ is coming. And I cant wait to fly to the otherside of the world with some amazing people, share this experience with them, see Davsucceeded, and at the same time, touch the lives of hundreds of children through the money we raise.
