Got to stop....
Another interesting week has passed since my last blog, so heres a run down of whats been going on...
I had a meeting to try and organise my big event for boardfree, feed back from people was interesting and given me a lot to think about in terms of viability, so sadly its back to the drawing board before i can tell you all about it...
last fri dan and i attended the dance society show, which was awesome - well done to all the girls (and the two boys), it was wicked! All proceeds from the programs are going to boardfree, and dan and I managed to sell a t-shirt and a band and raise some awareness.
Apart from that, i've been back on the campaign trail, my dearest friend luke is running for athletic union president, and he's the only person for the job -he is amazing and i wish him the best of luck!
Its a very nostalgic week for me, with the elections, phil leaving, and knowing that my promising future in nus is about to go. In the grand scale of things I was going to run for a second year of being president then move on to nus. Then boardfree came along and I couldnt resist. And I know that its the best thing to do; its just hard to let go of something that has been a big part of your life for three years.
I'm feeling a bit tearful bout it all, but good luck to luke and phil.
But yay! BoardFree will be my life from now on. An exciting challenge for us all, but most of all dave. I had my first dream about dave skating at the weekend, and he just went for miles and miles. It recomfirmed my undoubted belief that dave can face this challenge that lies ahead of him. And of course, i'll be his official leg massager and support him all the way. Its all become very real this week. We are going to Oz, Dave is going to skate a lot and we are all going to raise a lot of money for three incredibly worthwhile charities.
Two more things before i sign off. Yes, I am smoking again, and Dave and Dan are really disapointed in me. I am too. I'm going to try and quit again this week. Sorry guys. On the upside though, the fat girls guide to life and has become the bible of the boardfree diet. The last two weekends have shown that I am very much getting back to the old me - a fun loving party animal and my closest friends have said how good it is to see me up to my usual tricks. Its good to be back...
